The Word of God does not remain silent when it comes to your worth. It speaks with a love that will not let you go. When you feel small, remember this: the Maker of heaven and earth does not measure your value by how loud you are, how much you achieve, or how perfect you seem to the world.

He loves you with a deep, unwavering, covenantal care that never wavers. True security is not found in self-esteem, which rises and falls with our circumstances, but in Christ-esteem—resting entirely in who He is and what He has done for us on the cross of Calvary.

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?— Luke 15:4, KJV

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.— Ephesians 2:10, KJV

The Greek word translated as "workmanship" is *poiema*, from which we get our English word *poem* or *masterpiece*. You are God's masterpiece! He is writing a beautiful story of redemption through your life. This verse completely refutes the legalistic idea that we must perform to earn God's favor.

We do not perform *for* acceptance; we walk in good works *from* a place of absolute acceptance. You were created in Christ Jesus for a specific, ordained purpose. Your life has eternal significance, and no amount of earthly insecurity can alter the divine blueprint God has established for you.

An Inseparable, Eternal Love

Perhaps the greatest source of insecurity is the fear of rejection. We worry that we will eventually do something, say something, or fail in some way that will cause God to cast us off. But the Apostle Paul, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, provides the ultimate assurance of our eternal security in Christ Jesus.
