The Lord Draws Near

I know you are tired. You have prayed for a miracle, and the morning has come without the change you hoped for. The silence can feel heavy, like a weight pressing down on your chest. Yet, in this quiet space, Jesus is not absent; He is approaching.

The disciples on the road to Emmaus felt exactly this despair. They had hoped He was the redeemer, but the cross had silenced their hopes. They walked with heads bowed, burdened by loss and confusion. Their pain was real, their disappointment deep.

But notice what happens in the midst of their sorrow. The text says, 'Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.' He does not wait for you to be strong enough to find Him. He comes to you in the walking, in the weeping, and in the waiting.

And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.— Luke 24:15, KJV

He Speaks to Your Brokenness

We often search for a bible verse for quick healing as if it were a magic spell. We want the pain to stop instantly. But Christ’s first question to the weary was, 'What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?' He sees your sadness. He knows the reason for your tears.

True healing begins when we stop running from our pain and start talking to Him about it. Jesus does not dismiss your grief. He invites you to lay it out before Him. He wants to explain the scriptures to your heart, showing you that even in the darkest valley, God is writing a story of redemption.

You may not see the full picture yet. Your eyes may be holden, unable to recognize the hope that stands right beside you. But faith is trusting that He is there, even when you cannot see Him clearly. He is working in the unseen places of your life.

And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?— Luke 24:17, KJV

You do not have to carry this burden alone. Christ is walking with you today, offering peace that surpasses understanding. Rest in His presence, and let Him heal your heart, one step at a time. He is closer than you think.
