When the Words Come

I was at the kitchen table when my brother muttered, 'Forgive me.' The words hung heavy in the steam of coffee. I remembered Jesus' prayer and felt his call.

He asked, eyes downcast. I answered with the Lord's petition, 'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.' The room softened.

"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."— Matthew 6:12, KJV

A Gentle Reply

The right reply is not a legal verdict but a heart echo. Speak, 'I forgive you as our Father has forgiven me.' Let the words be a breath.

Ephesians 4:32 reminds us, 'And be ye kind...'. Let kindness shape the reply.

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as Christ forgave you;"— Ephesians 4:32, KJV

May your answer be a living echo of the Father’s mercy. Let each forgiven heart find its peace in Christ's shadow. Walk forward with that peace as your steady companion.
