Understanding God's Forgiveness
We gather at the kitchen table, a modest loaf before us. The scent of fresh grain rises as we lift our hands. In that moment the Lord invites us to ask for daily bread.
He then turns the ear toward our forgiveness. "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors" (Matt 6:12) says He will hear only a heart that lets go. If we hold tight, the petition stalls.

Receiving Forgiveness Through Grace
A brother wronged you; your gut clenches. Yet the apostle writes, "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" (Eph 4:32). When we echo that command, the barrier between us and God's pardon thins. The grace we extend becomes a mirror for the grace we receive.
First, own the fault. Second, turn to the Cross and trust that Christ bore it. Then release the offender as the Father has released you. "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Matt 6:14). The promise rests on our obedience.

Walk each morning with that promise held tight. The world may bruise, but the forgiven soul stands firm. Trust that as you extend mercy, God's mercies flow anew. Let hope rise like the sunrise over a quiet field.
