The Call to Mercy

You sit at the kitchen table. The coffee steams. A cracked vase lies between you and your husband, its shards catching the morning light. The silence feels louder than any accusation.

Jesus taught, "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." He invites you to offer the same grace that you crave. The act of forgiveness does not erase the wound, but it loosens its grip on your heart.

"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."— Matthew 6:12, KJV

Living the Forgiveness

You step into the backyard garden. The roses are opening, though a storm passed last night. Each bud pushes toward the sun, trusting that light will heal its bruised skin.

When you remember that Christ, "even as He forgave you," poured mercy into a world of brokenness, you can extend that same tenderhearted forgiveness to your husband, allowing both souls to move beyond the breach.

"And be kind unto one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as Christ forgave you."— Ephesians 4:32, KJV

Forgiveness is not a feeling you force, but a decision you make each day. It frees the one who forgives as surely as it releases the one who is forgiven. Trust that God's kingdom, power, and glory will sustain you both as you walk forward together.
