The Weight of the Unknown

Do you feel the knot in your stomach tightening as the interview hour approaches? The fear of rejection can feel heavier than any workload. You want to present your best self, yet doubt whispers that you are not enough. It is a human response to seek control when the future feels uncertain.

But you do not have to carry this burden alone. God sees the anxiety in your heart and invites you to lay it down. He knows the details of your life, including this moment of transition. Let us look to a powerful example of faith in the face of opposition.

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.— Mark 14:6, KJV

Trusting the Giver of Opportunities

In Mark 14, Jesus defends a woman who poured out her precious ointment on Him. While others judged her actions as wasteful or foolish, Jesus recognized it as a profound act of devotion. He reminds us that we often cannot see the full picture of God's plan, just as the disciples could not see the path to the cross.

When you walk into that interview room, remember that your worth is not defined by a job offer. It is defined by your identity in Christ. Jesus says in Matthew 6:33, 'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.' Your primary task is to seek Him, not just the position.

God is faithful to provide. He has prepared opportunities for you that align with His purpose. Trust that He is working behind the scenes, even when the outcome seems unclear. His grace is sufficient for every fear you face.

For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.— Mark 14:7, KJV

As you prepare for your interview, breathe in the peace of God’s promises. You are seen, you are valued, and you are never alone. Walk forward with confidence, knowing that your ultimate provider is the Lord. May He open the right doors and close the wrong ones, all for your good. Go in faith, for He goes before you.
