When the Stone is Rolled Away
Graduation day often feels like a moment suspended in time. You have worked hard, studied late, and prepared for this milestone, yet the days ahead remain a mystery. It is natural to feel both excitement and a quiet tremor of fear about what comes next. We often ask for a clear map, but God frequently gives us a compass instead.
Consider the women who went to the tomb early on the first day of the week. They brought spices to care for a body, expecting a closed door and a heavy stone. Yet, when they arrived, they found the impossible had happened. The stone was rolled away, not to let Jesus out, but to let them see that He was gone because He had risen.
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.— Mark 16:6, KJV
Go Before You Into Galilee
You might be standing at your own threshold, wondering who will roll away the stone of your future uncertainties. You may look at the size of the challenge and feel overwhelmed by the weight of it. But remember that God goes before you. He has already prepared the place where you shall see Him.
The angel’s instruction was specific: tell His disciples to go into Galilee, where they would see Him again. This is a promise for you today. Your next chapter is not a void; it is a destination prepared by Christ. He is not waiting for you to figure it all out before He meets you. He is already there, waiting to meet you in your new season.
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.— Mark 16:7, KJV
As you step across that stage, do not look back in fear or forward in anxiety. Look to Jesus, who has gone before you into every room, every job, and every relationship you will enter. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Walk forward in the confidence that the One who conquered the grave is walking beside you into your future.
